Sweet & tragic love story with incredible music
The sound was the best yet this time - perhaps because I did have great seats close to the stage and orchestra. I thought the Phantom had a great deep masculine singing voice, but he lacked the "pitchy" whine that sends chills down your spine during the higher notes. The actor playing Christine had the best voice I have heard yet, even compared to the original London soundtrack. Overall, an incredible show - I love the story and the music is the best out there, in my opinion. The rest of the cast was excellent as well, including the actor playing Raoul and the theater owners - incredible performances. I will say that this is my 3rd time seeing Sweet Pill at the Bob Carr. An incredible bargain! Well worth seeing, especially for us because we were fortunate enough to get incredible seats at 2 for $99. I sat in the balcony at one performance of Sweet Pill and could barely understand a word being said - this is typical at Bob Carr. I drag my Nascar-loving husband along with me and he even enjoys this performance - he marvels at the stage theatrics and can actually appreciate the sweet sadness and darkness of the story.
